Job Title: Director of Development and Communications

Organization: Connecting for Children and Families (CCF)

Reports to: Executive Director

Salary: $60,000-$70,000, commensurate with experience

Start Date: September 2017

Full–time Hours: Ability to work nights and weekends, when needed.

Position Overview:

Connecting for Children and Families, a premier family support organization that serves Woonsocket, RI, is seeking a Director of Development and Communications.  This professional will be responsible for creating and implementing a development strategy to significantly increase annual revenues through donor outreach, stewardship, special events, annual giving, and implementing a robust communications plan to support the program development objectives of CCF.


Education and Qualifications:

CCF is seeking a professional with a demonstrated track record and passion for improving the lives of disadvantaged children.  This position will work closely with the Executive Director and Board of Directors. We are looking for a flexible entrepreneur, adept at building donor relationships, who is also a persuasive communicator and has a demonstrated ability to produce results. 

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree, at least three to five years’ experience in all aspects of fund development, experience in print, online communications and social media, and a record of recruiting, training and motivating leadership volunteers. Experience with adobe products required. Membership in CFRE is desirable.

CCF provides internship opportunities for high school and college students through our Service Learning Program, where students develop new skills by being engaged in community service projects.
