Family Support Programs...Nobody said that raising a family was easy.  At CCF, we have a number of programs that can help.  Our basic needs and service linkages ensure that children and their families can successfully overcome obstacles.

Emergency Basic Needs Support:

In an emergency we can help with groceries, diapers, and baby formula.  We can also help with emergency prescriptions, rent and utility bills.  Our staff can connect you to other resources in the city, too.

Fun Free Friday

Every Friday at 10:00 AM, we distribute clothing at the Chaplin-Perez Center, 37 Center Street, just a block from our offices.  There we give away whatever clothing, household items, coats, toys or other items that have been donated to us throughout the week.  If you need something , or you have something to give away, let us know.  Call us at the Hope Street Family Center, 766-3384, anytime, or drop by the Chaplin-Perez Center on Fridays between 10:00 AM and noon.

Counseling Services

Often times, stress can become unhealthy.  We have certified counselors who can work with adults, children, or families at our offices or in their home.  We accept Blue Cross/Blue Shield of RI, United Health Plan, and Neighborhood Health Plan of RI.  For uninsured families, we offer a sliding fee payment scale.

Parents As Teachers (PAT)

PAT is an internationally acclaimed parenting program, based on the idea that all children are born to learn and that  parents are their children’s first and best teachers.  PAT offers monthly (or more frequent) home visits to families with children from conception until the age of 5.  Certified Parent Educators:

·         Bring educational and developmentally appropriate information and activities about healthy child growth and development.

·         Connect families and children to community resources

·         Conduct regular screenings of children for early detection of learning problems

·         Host monthly group meetings where the entire family can learn something new
